At St Robert's we are committed to ensuring that ALL pupils are able to voice their opinion and be listened to. There are a number of pupils groups within the school that work to make our school even better!
Once a half term, representatives from these groups meet together and form a Senedd. Here they meet with the school's senior leaders and discuss actions already completed and future actions within the school. School Council
The school council is made up of children from Blodau upwards and meets fortnightly. The School Council elects its own Chairperson, Vice Chairperson and Secretary. Its role is to lead with matters linked to School Mission. Values and Aims:
- School policies and rules;
- Anti-bullying;
- Pupil voice and wellbeing survey;
- School Dinners and play times;
- Selection and appointment of staff;
- Addressing SIP priorities.
Eco Committee
The Eco committee is made up of pupils from Blodau upwards and is elected annually. Their role is lead in matters linked to the Eco School programme including:
- Eco environmental review
- Delivering Eco Schools action plan
- Responsible for energy efficiency and recycling throughout the school
- Responsible for ESDGC development in the curriculum
Criw Cymraeg
The Criw Cymraeg is made up of junior pupils, who are working towards the Cymraeg Campus/Siarter Iaith targets. Their role is to lead with matters linked to Welsh language, Culture and heritage:

Mini Police
Year 5 and Year 6 children work alongside our local PCSO Mark Emery, developing presentations and posters on a range of health, wellbeing and safety issues. These include issues such as anti social behaviour, bullying, cyber bullying and drug misuse.

P4C Champions
Our P4C Champions are one of our newest pupil voice groups at St Robert's. P4C plays an integral part of our school curriculum and the P4C Champions help to lead with developing P4C throughout the school including:

Worship Group
The role of the Worship Group is to lead in matters linked to the School’s chaplaincy, including:
- RE policies and guidance;
- Planning and assisting of worships;
- Organisation of charitable works;
- Co-ordinate links with the Parish;
- Auditing liturgy/RE resources;
- Catholic Pupil Profile.
Digital Leaders
A small group of Year 6 pupils take on the role of Digital Leaders. They help to lead matters linked to digital learning:
The children also form part of the Online Safety Committee who: review the online safety policy annually or in response to an incident; discuss training needs, including staff, parent/community awareness; raise new community initiatives in response to training needs or as a result of polls/surveys; coordinate annual events such as Anti-Bullying Week or Safer Internet Day
